Moderators LynnDel Posted March 30, 2008 Moderators Posted March 30, 2008 Neil, I think the Fiddler name was Yentl, not Lentil. It'd be like calling you "Wheel," or sumpin' like that. Come to think of it, with a name like Neil, one could come come up with a few good limericks right quick, as they say down south. Quote LD
cricket Posted March 30, 2008 Posted March 30, 2008 If you're talking stage productions, count me in! Yentl is a female character in a story of a young Jewish girl who disguises her gender so that she may study the Torah as if she were a man. Yente is the female matchmaker from Fiddler on the Roof. Tevye is the father's name... But Lentil is a vocally challenged male from a book by Robert McCloskey. I rather like LynnDel better... Quote

Hmmmmm.......... There once was a man named "Neil" Who was in sucha sorry state He was jumping up an down from his height to the growund And couldn't keep lentils on his plate... Ok, I am sure I have opened all sorts of doors that I will regret at this stage.... So, all I will say is..."Keep 'em clean..." Moderators LynnDel Posted March 30, 2008 Moderators Posted March 30, 2008 Yeah, Yente - that was it. Thanks, Cricket! Never heard of the McCluskey character before... Quote LD
