Moderators John317 Posted April 2, 2008 Moderators Posted April 2, 2008 In WWII, there was an advisor to Churchill who organized a group of people who dropped what they were doing every night at a prescribed hour for one minute to collectively pray for the safety of England, its people and peace. This had an amazing effect as bombing stopped! There is now a group of people who are organizing the same thing here in America. If you would like to participate: each evening at 9:00 PM Eastern Time (8:00 PM Central, 7:00 PM Mountain, 6:00 PM Pacific),stop whatever you are doing and spend one minute praying: for the safety of the United States, our troops, our citizens and for peace in the world. If you know anyone who would like to participate, please pass this along. Someone said if people really understood the full extent of the power we have available through prayer, we might be speechless. [AMEN!] Our prayers are the most powerful asset we have. Please pass this on to anyone who you think will pray for our nation. I don't think we need a specific time to pray each day or evening; but what a great idea for everyone that believes in the power of prayer to spend one minute each day praying for our Nation; our leaders; our troops; and our world in general. It helps to remind each other how much we need to pray for the upcoming election. Quote John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. [17] For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.

Moderators John317 Posted April 3, 2008 Author Moderators Posted April 3, 2008 Thank you! I'm going to, also, and I know many others will. I have a feeling that some people think this is an appeal for only those of a particular political persuasion to pray, but it isn't. It's just an appeal to all people who believe in the power of God to answer prayer, irrespective of political party or viewpoint, to pray earnestly that God's will be done in terms of America's leadership and direction.
