Woody Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 ON ABC News tonight ... they reported that Obama had requested and obtained 100 million dollars of pork projects. McCain had not requested ANY .... $0. They said that this would most likely be a campaign issue if Obama wins the nomination. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. fccool Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 The man on the right is president Taft, he was perhaps the most overweight president in US history. This was during those glorious days when someone as "ugly" as Lincoln and "fat" as Taft could be elected as presidents, because people actually cared more about their minds than their looks and their diet choices . Romans 14 19 So then we pursue the things which make for peace and the building up of one another. 20 Do not tear down the work of God for the sake of food. Quote
Moderators John317 Posted April 4, 2008 Moderators Posted April 4, 2008 Great picture! You're probably right about Lincoln. Almost certainly he would not have been elected today. Not only was he considered ugly and gangly, but he had a high-pitched voice, and he was always telling humorous stories. Lots of pictures were drawn of him as "the big ugly gorilla." He was without question our greatest president, and a wonderful human being to boot, yet look how they abused and hated him. People often seem not to appreciate great living men, only great dead ones. Quote John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. [17] For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.
