Lil Star Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 It's only a sanitizer. They can come in unscented as well. Some are germ-X as well as others. It's not a lotion, just a sanitizer. Quote
cricket Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 I'm sorry. I read it incorrectly. Regardless, sanitizer or lotion, if it is scented at all, we'd run the opposite direction--and fast! ...all the while leaving the person wondering why we were so rude. Quote
Lil Star Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 It smells like alcohol actually. Or My boys put their hands out to shake and then lift them up and run it across their hair and then the boys all laugh about it. Maybe that one would help. Quote
Moderators LynnDel Posted April 6, 2008 Moderators Posted April 6, 2008 I wonder if wearing gloves will ever come back into general use. It seems it should, at least as long as handshaking is a continued practice. I can envision everyone having a glove drawer next to their sock drawer, with a pile of easily-donned washable gloves. Here are some other options: 1. Load up arms with purse, books, SS supplies, and when someone reaches out, say, "Sorry, I'm loaded." 2. Explain you can't shake because you think you might be coming down with a cold (any time now) and you don't want to spread it. 3. Hug instead. This is becoming more and more common at church. Doesn't work with your bank loan office, however. 4. Eat lots of garlic, and spread the oils on your hands. You will be protected from germs and from general human interaction. Quote LD

That's about the only thing I like about cold weather. I can wear my gloves and shake hands with them! Gerry Quote
