Administrators Gail Posted April 9, 2008 Administrators Posted April 9, 2008 I like it! He uses happy colours! I really get a "sunshine" feeling just looking at it Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
D. Allan Posted April 9, 2008 Author Posted April 9, 2008 That "white" dress is magnificently, heavenly lustrous! One could write a poem about this painting. (Several on the forum could.) Notice the pink of the underwater ankle and toes. And in the reflecting light how her left thigh glows As ... somebody finish it or add a line :) Quote dAb O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!
D. Allan Posted April 10, 2008 Author Posted April 10, 2008 Notice the pink of under water toes How in reflecting light her left thigh glows Effulgent - golden water, ripples - blue And lavender laves where it renews each moment, shining brightly as it flows. And now she lifts the cloth above her knees Lest it be dampened and lose the glow In which she's wonderfully dressed. It is a vision - the joy of living In Christ's freedom his righteousness, Which to us this painting - is freely giving. -dAb Just the ramblings of a few minutes. Other thoughts: Is she getting IN the boat or OUT? Has someone else already gotten out? Are they waiting on the shore? Is it the sea of Galilee?? Quote dAb O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!
