Lil Star Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 pureed peaches, pureed pears, peanut butter, bananas, any type of fruit really. The syrup is always too sweet for my taste buds. Of course, my son and I have tried to get all the sugars that come from sugar cane out of our diets. We hardly ever purchase anything with sugar in it other than natural sugars anymore. That is just us though. I know for one I can feel the change in my blood stream. My son says he feels better getting rid of all the stuff that had unnatural sugars in them. Strange how that is. Quote

Members phkrause Posted April 14, 2008 Members Posted April 14, 2008 I have a book called "The Seventh-Day Diet" which has a recipe for blueberry syrup, which is awesome. I switch out the blueberry's sometimes and use strawberry's, blackberry's, etc. Instead of hotcakes I can put it on waffles, etc. pkrause Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Planey Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 ...the sugars that come from sugar cane... ...anything with sugar in it other than natural sugars... I am not criticising, Lil Star, just curious. I am not sure what you mean, how is sugar from sugar cane not "natural"? Do you mean that you don't like sugar which has been processed and then added to food, and would rather just have the sugar which occurs naturally in food and has not been added during processing? Sorry to be off topic (mea culpa) Graeme Quote Graeme____________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Lil Star Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 Sorry, meant refined sugars. Yup! that is what I mean! I just couldn't think of what it was this AM. Was thinking about other things. Quote

Lil Star Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 LynnDel, that sounds so yummy too! I just may have to make some pancakes later in the morning. We call our toppings peach whizz, or pear whizz or whatever the fruit of choice may be. It's just all so yummy! Quote
