Check out James 5: 16-18. If you look carefully at the first chapters of Job, it seems that there are rules in the great controversy between Christ and Satan that God has agreed to abide by, and one of those rules is that God doesn't interfere in people's lives unless He is asked to, either by the person himself or by someone who puts their faith in Him. God honors our freedom, and if a person does not want God in their lives, God doesn't force Himself on him. There are times when people get so deeply entangled up with Satan that they are unable to get free without the prayers of other people. A possessed person cannot pray himself but God knows when he wants freedom and in that case He uses other people of faith to appeal to God for deliverance. In that case, if the person really wants freedom and wants Christ, God will deliver her or him. Quote John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. [17] For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.

We are close to the end times with God slowly pulling His blessings away from the earth and man? ChildofChrist Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 While the Father is still moving and working for His church, I believe that He will remember us. I am thankful for the prayers of my aunt. It was her petitions that He kept working on me. I am still a work in progress but now I want to stay right next to Him and as I kept my eyes on His goodness, I want to be just like Him. I can't believe how many times during the course of my day I find I am so far away from being just like Him it makes me want to cry. ChildofChrist Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 When I was growing up, family worship was not the norm. At one point, the Father caused us to be sent to my aunt's home. We had worship every morning and every evening. When my dad married the last time, they had a family worship daily. Just the two of them and Buddy, their dog. Often times I would find myself there in the evening and joined their worship time. Sometimes, if I was really anxious to spend some time with them, I'd be there in time for breakfast then we'd have a Bible reading. Even Buddy knew how to be reverent. He'd sit on the sofa between them and when it came time to kneel for prayer, Buddy was a firm believer on the Laying on of Hands. While Dad held one of Kate's hands, his other was on the critter to complete the family circle. Amelia, it is very difficult to have a 'family worship' when there is only one. I have now decided worship will not depend on the clock. Study the SS lesson. Read Desire of Ages. Do my needed research on Biblical times. Sing songs of praise throughout the day. Pray without ceasing when my mind isn't occupied solving an immediate crisis. Following such a pattern has enriched me 20 fold...and I actually spend more time with Him. Sing songs of praise throughout the day. Pray without ceasing when my mind isn't occupied solving an immediate crisis. Sounds like a great program to me. I will do my best to follow it.
