Planey Posted April 25, 2008 Posted April 25, 2008 And no matter where we get it, oil is moved by tankers. So not drilling in a specific area isn't going to cause less tankers to be on the sea. But if you're not drilling in a pristine, ecologically extremely sensitive area like the Arctic, there will be no tankers in that area. Dr. Shane Posted April 25, 2008 Posted April 25, 2008 The oil goes into a pipeline which eventually ends up in a tanker. Anwar was originally set aside for dual purpose. It was to be a wildlife refuge and an oil reserve. So it not like some people want to take what was originally set aside as solely a wildlife refuge and turn it into an oil reserve. The purpose in setting the land aside has been for oil from the very beginning. Yes, we can drill for oil there and maintain it as a wildlife preserve. That was the intent from the very beginning. SherryLee Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 It's all politics! Someone is trying to control the world. It can be rather freightening. Someone said there really is not a shortage of gas/oil. It's just greed. How do you guys find such kewl Avatar's? I would not know where to begin looking for one that would suit me. SherryLee Quote SherryLee
Amelia Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 Hi SherryLee Just type in avatar or avatars into google search and you will get alot of sites. You can also narrow it down by typing in something like kitty avatars etc. Or if you have some idea of what you might like I can search and post some for you.
