While reading the Newspaper today I got a ministry idea. There were so many in the Obituary section that I was feeling for all those hurting families. What if I were to write a note of encouragement in a card. I could include Bible verses and prayers. The only difficulty is getting an address. Some have the funeral home name. I could send them there. But that places a deadline. If I'm not feeling well .... it just might not get done.

So, do you have any ideas on how I could get an address? I suppose I could look up the person in the phone book. But would it work to send it to the dead person's address ?

Also ... Any ideas on what I should say and include? Since I have no idea of who I am writing to ... could they be offended if I talked about Jesus etc. Please help guide me on this .....

One thing I might include is the Promise Cards. I have pop up Bible promise cards that I usually pass out at church when I am able to attend. This might be something that I could include.

Any more suggestions for this would be greatly appreciated.

May we be one so that the world may be won.

One thing I learned from Dad that I'll pass on, he shared how God had given him peace in his trials. Knowing that he understood, meant a lot to people. He had a goal to write a letter a day to someone who was hurting, or going through a trial.
