Hi everyone! This is my introduction!

I heard about this forum from this post at loudcry.org.

I was excited because there are alot of people posting here.

I joined the SDA church as soon as I discovered it in 1996. I was 21. I had fellowshipped with the SDAs on Sabbath, but then went home and spent the rest of the week alone. It was a small town in Kansas.

Now I'm in Philippines doing missionary work. The people in these parts don't really like English that much, so I really can't fellowship with them. I'm just helping them with their bible study material and outreach programs.

So I started posting on loudcry.org, but I would check my post and days would go by with no feedback. I discovered this forum there and kept trying to sign up for two weeks and I guess the software here was bugged, 'cause it never sent me a validation email.

So I got the idea to post on a mix-denomination forum and was banned for having a very strong testimony. I will post more about that later.

Well I'm very happy to finally get on here. I really appriciate the work that has gone into putting this web site together. I hope I don't get banned cause that would be pathetic, seeing the rules here are so short. :shark:

Now I have to make another topic to vent my frustration.

And I do hope that you are not a Rush Limbaugh fan.....

Thank you. I'm in Farm Ville, Tikay, Mololos, Bulacan, Philippines.

(subd, town, city, province, country)

I don't have much time for Rush Limbaugh. No, I'm not a fan.

I am encouraged to see people can speak freely their views and there is not much censorship here.

I seem to be in permanent dirge mode and I beg you to resist the temptation to criticize me for that. I feel I'm justified for my choler, as I do believe in the Investigative Judgment:

Quote:
Lev. 23:29 For whatsoever soul [it be] that shall not be afflicted in that same day, he shall be cut off from among his people.

Ez. 9:4 And the LORD said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof.

Welcome to the club, Rush4hire!

It's good to have fellow SDAs who believe in the Investigative Judgment. And by the way, it would be OK, too, even if you were a Rush Limbaugh fan. Both the Left and the Right and those in between are all welcome here.

John 3:16-17

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. [17] For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.

Oh what a description about the Philippines. When people from other countries read your post, they might think Filipinos dont speak in English. Im sorry but Filipinos are very good in speaking English that's the reason why BPO companies are in the Philippines because Filipinos speak english well. Have you been to the elite places in the Philippines like Makati where the corporate world is..where business ,educated, rich people are?...have u been to Forbes Park?...The Philippines has very elite schools like Ateneo de Manila, La Salle, University of the Philippines, etc...if u will encounter people from these places....in Metro Manila, Cebu, Baguio , etc), you will see and acknowlege that the Filipinos are very intelligent and very excellent. In fact, they are more than intellectuals than Americans...americans are good in english because its their native language but there are more dumb, stupid and moron americans. I apologize for the words but i've talked to americans and filipinos but filipinos are more sensible than americans. i believe u are in squatters' area or a depressed area in the Philippines that's why that's how you describe the filipinos and the Philippines.

Hello Traveller, I must agree that even in remote villages in the mountains on an island in the Philippines where I recently spent time doing missinary work the people spoke very good English. They were happy to share their culture and learn more of ours. TV and newspapers are in english. The shopping centers have their signs in English.

This is to be expected, because for at least a couple of generations their citizens have used English as a second language. And, most of th

However, I wouldn't go so far as to say they are more intelligent or better educated than other nationalities; those who are born in english speaking areas.
