Momma2Killian Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 Dear Friends of Freedom: In just two weeks time your church will be holding the Annual Religious Liberty Dinner right here in the heart of Washington, DC. But as religious liberty advocates, you already know that. What you may not know is that we've invited your Member of U.S. House of Representatives and both of your U.S. Senators to the dinner. But it is one thing to get an invitation from a church headquarters, it is quite another to get an invitation from your own constituents. So why not take a minute to send your representatives here in Washington a note inviting them to come to the event. In about one minute you can send your invite to your representatives at: North American Religious Liberty Association The letter of invitation is already written, but you can customize it if you would like. The most important thing is that you send the invite. It matters a lot to our church to have as many Members of Congress at the dinner as possible. This is a chance for them to see Adventists in action, to hear our perspective on religious liberties matters and to meet our NARLA members and liberty team. This is a wonderful event that you can be proud of. Your invitation is a powerful reminder that Adventists are active in every congressional district in the nation, and it is a simple way to witness to men and women in authority. So please, take a minute to send a very quick invitation to those whose job it is to represent you. Simply click the following link and you can send an invitation in about a minute: North American Religious Liberty Association Past the 100,000 Mark I want to sincerely thank all the faithful men and women who have sent letters to Congress from www.religiousliberty.info Over the last 4 years, we have had over 100,000 letters sent to Congress through www.religiousliberty.info As of writing, the precise number is 104,766 letters and counting! Every man, woman, boy and girl who has sent a letter has made a vital difference. You have helped raise the profile of vital religious liberty issues. We praise God for your willingness to raise your voice for the liberty of conscience granted by our Heavenly Father. It is so easy to say nothing in the face of challenge. But this is a nation built by men and women who don't take the easy route, and this is a church made up of individuals ready to stand up and be counted. Each of us has a voice, and we thank God for those among us willing to use it for good. Sincere Thanks in Time of Loss I want to end with a most sincere thank you to those who sent me and my family encouragement during our time of loss. It has been a great solace in this time of grief. I only hope that I will be as kind to others who suffer loss, as so many have been to me. May God bless you, James Standish Quote For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future...nor any thing else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
