int21h Posted June 3, 2008 Author Posted June 3, 2008 The above Hebrew is found in the New Testament: 2 Peter 3:8 And this one thing let not be unobserved by you, beloved, that one day with the Lord is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day For this statement to be true: Then the Lord is traveling at 186282.27385879321469248234478584 miles per second relative to you and I. Which now leads us to this: Here is a little bit about my story: First I believe it is our part as being humans to seek out why we are hear and what made us to be here in the first place. Once we reach a certain age it then becomes our job to test our faith and see if we can stand on our own or fall. Our belief structure has to be tested. For me it was tested on the basses of Catholicism. Seventh - day Adventist showed me, through the bible, the follies of the Catholic Church. When I learned these things I had to make a choice. Stay with the religion of my parents or leave it for the new truth. I left the Catholic Church and it was like my eyes were starting to open and I could see things clearly and not through the eyes of my parents. On my awakening I continued my journey and promised myself that I would from this point out test everything. I found myself questioning the Seventh - day Adventist and there thoughts on evolution. I just could not grasp the Earth being 6000 years old and dinosaurs came to be here through genetic engineering of very smart people and a flood had to come to bring all the animals that God created into a boat and leave out all the genetic altered animals. My first thought was; what about the animals that lived in the sea that were altered? What happened to them? In any case when one awakens everything starts to be questioned and a searching for the truth comes to be a priority. On searching for this truth I have run into all different types of conflict and I wish not to bore you with those details except for this one. In science when a particle is being observed you can know its place at any given time, but you will not know its course. If you wish to know its course then you can not know it place at any given point in time. The reason for this is because the observer is altering the test to get at something they want known. In the end the best one can do is come up with an idea as to what may have happened or would have happened had the project not been altered to get at the known. Science is honest enough to tell these things upfront if you care to look for them. Religion, sorry to say, has a hard time saying that they goofed or that they are wrong on a subject. As I am traveling on my course through this thing we call life my journey has been something like this: Catholic -> Seventh - day Adventist -> Atheist -> Kabbalah -> Road back to Adventist My road back to Adventist comes with scars and wounds. I can not deny the truths that have been learned on my journey and I know they will come in conflict with the truths that are taught in the Adventist church. I have found that we as people must be patient with others and let God work on His timetable and not ours. I was compelled to share some very deep truths, truth as I find it to be, at the start of this thread. If the spirit moves you to study it then you will find what it is that He wishes for you to find. If you are wrestling with evolution and the earth being 6000 years old then it is my belief that you will find your answers in the post above, but you have to seek for the answer it is not just posted it is obscured but can be found when you search for it. I am very well versed in Hebrew, I had to learn it through my traveling in Kabbalah, it is well worth the time and effort to learn this language of the Bible if you wish to get to know a deeper meaning of the text. I am also well taught in cryptology which causes me to decrypt codes which in turn means that I LOVE math and encryption. Let’s wrap this up: So: Why come back to Adventist? Because of the Sanctuary message and the truth as it is found in Christ. In my journey I have not found any religion to save man from his condition and explain it in such a way as the Sanctuary does. My love for the knowledge and the decryption that can be found in this message is in a word: phenomenal. There is no greater truth that I have found than in this message. It is my prayer that all that read this will come to rest in there own path and put your yoke upon Him and let Him guide your mind to a resting place that only He knows will give you rest. אֱלֹהִים בַּקֹּדֶשׁ דַּרְךֶּךָ מִי־אֵל גָּדֹול כֵּאלֹהִים׃ Quote

Thank you for sharing this! I LOVE that truth, the one about the Sanctuary service! What a neat illustration. For those in the OT days who could not read, they were not left out of a picture of God's love and His plan to deal with sin. Even a child can understand this theology. I found it interesting that it was what brought you back home. Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
BibleShockers Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 The point is not that God can't keep his times straight and always confuses days with a thousand years... the point is that it is only as difficult for God to wait a thousand years as it is for us to wait a day. Quote Bill Ross

Welcome back! I certainly share your love for and conviction of the truth of the Sanctuary message. It's really the central hub of Seventh-day Adventist doctrines. It's about Christ as Sacrifice, High Priest, and the soon coming King. As the book of Revelation shows, His sanctuary in heaven is the point from which all divine activity originates. Quote John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. [17] For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.
