I don't know if that's true, but it could make sense if they are viewed by those they are trying to reach as having defected and therefore not trustworthy. Stan, do you have examples of why you think all these exes are the worst for reaching those they have left behind?

I think that a reason why X's are the hardest to convert others are:

1. The people see the X as having left them and it opens a natural distrust towards the X

2. The X who left believes (right or wrong) that they have met something better. The problem is that instead of having a spirit of having found something better, they tend to have the attitude of "I was wrong, now I'm right."

3. The NON-X either has the same "I'm right your'e wrong" attitude and tends to avoid those they see as wrong so the interaction with their dynamics are wrong, or else the Non-X respects the people who are following the other religion, sees then as living up to what light they have and rather than a spirit of "I'm completely right and your'e completely wrong." they have a spirit of listening love and developing friendships with the person, and as the other learns their friend's religion they are more open to looking at it, which increases the chance of conversion.

I have found them more confrontational.. than wanting to embrace each other... others may have different experiences... I am only one person of 6+ billion....

Is that all, Stan? I thought you counted for more than one person! The fact that you called me too young to retire counts for at least 100 CA points, and that should mean something (somewhere).

Could it be that the one who is witnessing likely feels a kinship because of his or her past connection, and because of that connection may tend to be more confrontational with an attitude that says, "I found the truth, and because you are where I came from, why can't you see it like I did?"

I would think that a large part of the type of witnessing a former-anything would attempt is personality. I am sure there must be former baptists, Catholics, Muslims, etc., out there who have a more loving and influential than confrontational approach.

" Where then did this Man get all these things?” So they were offended at Him.

But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his own country and in his own house.” Now He did not do many mighty works there because of their unbelief." Matthew 13:56-58 NIV
