If the SDA church is truly God s representing church on earth than we should be motivated to collect spiritual truths. Many of us on this board are doing a great job, doing that. Please pay attention to this post and try to convince me that the SDA church is very well able to defend itself against criticism from Walter Martin. View this as an exercise/exam. I will evaluate posts with a mark . Good luck!

One thing that separates Adventists from the evangelical viewpoint is their stand on salvation and how it works.

We believe that God has created us free thinking beings, and our salvation is dependent on our choice in accepting God's provision for us. Predestination does not mean that we are saved no matter what, or lost no matter what. God has predestined a people to be His, and leaves us to choose Him or not.

This says a lot about God's character, and how true love works. Love that is not freely given (and returned) is not love at all.

But ... the provisions are there for all to be saved.
