Pastor of Taylor Mill, KY SDA Church (Covington, KY)

Does anyone know what happened to the pastor of the Taylor Mill, KY Adventist Church? The Kentucky-Tennessee Conference has termined his employment, but there has been no clear word as to why.

I am in no way trying to spread rumors or gossip, but am a concerned member who is genuinely wondering what happened. Thank you.

It would be rare for the Church or any other organization to disclose personal information on why an employee ceased to be an employee. It has not always been that way. This is especially true if it would cause embarrassment to a third party.

Many termination agreements today, included a privacy non-discloursure agreement. This often seems especially true if a Church employee received over the standard termination settlement of one week for every year worked up to 20 weeks of pay.

A good example of this, that was made semi-public, was Linda Shelton cease of employment with 3ABN. Although 3ABN is NOT a denominational entity they do seem to follow some of the guidelines, which is similar to corporate America.

Sometimes the terminated employee will give more details, and sometimes that violates the settlement package.

Best thing is often to pray for them, and send them encouragement emails. Tough times for him/her.
