Evangelism Opportunity in Venezuela

[Taylor]

Would you like to be a missionary and share the gospel in a foreign country? This may be your chance to do just that. ShareHim is a ministry of the Carolina Conference which coordinates around 1,000 evangelistic meetings all over the world. About 400 of these evangelistic meetings are preached by our university students from all the SDA universities in the USA as well as SDA universities in other countries. Many thousands of lay people, as well as pastors and youth have had their lives forever enriched and changed by participating in a ShareHim evangelistic event.

If you want to preach this summer but have been hindered by the cost of paying for your campaign site, a rare opportunity has just opened for you. There are now fifteen preaching sites available in Venezuela that require no site funding. The $1200 has been paid for you! You will just need to come up with money for your airline ticket, food, lodging, and equipment. Sign up soon as the campaign begins on August 29. We have extended the application deadline for this campaign until August 5. Please prayfully consider if God is calling you to preach in Venezuela this summer. I have been on a share him program. I did not like it. I felt the sermons were wrong and the way the program baptized people was wrong. As an experienced evangelist I know there are better ways.

[John317]

While you personally may not have enjoyed it, would you agree that it is a good program and that God is using it to take the gospel to places where there are great needs?

[Taylor]

Interestingly enough there are thousands of people who are participated in a ShareHim events who have come away changed forever, on-fire for God, knowing what they believe, and are now much more involved in their home church than ever before. The sermons are distinctively SDA and show the world a picture of a God who deeply cares about people, who wants them in heaven even more than they want to be. The cross and the plan of salvation are key and central to each theme. All our SDA colleges in the USA as well as many oversease, especially in Europe, send students every year with ShareHim to preach campaigns.

If you to go www.sharehim.org and click on Reports and Stories you will read hundreds of first hand accounts of the blessing these trips have been to so many. Many thousands have been baptized and yes in many cases the retention rate has been much higher than many might expect. There is also a program on 3ABN every week that showcases ShareHim and it's ministry.

(And no I am not the director of ShareHim. But I have been on trips with them and have experienced this first hand.)

[John317]

Thanks for posting this. I didn't even know anything about the program, but it certainly is exciting to know such programs exist. I seldom am able to watch 3abn. I checked out the link you gave and it looks really wonderful.

We have something like that here on the Forum, in the thread on "scars remaining on Jesus' hands," but where the discussion or study is actually regarding Daniel 2 and 7 and Rev. 13. Anyone of course is welcome.
