I am just now listening to Joe Lieberman ... a Democrat ... having a major speech in prime time. The Demos didn't have any Republicans speaking at their convention. I think this shows good unity . The Demos did still give him committee membership and I believe chairmanship. I think he is chairman of the Homeland Security or something similar. And he sits on the Democrats side of Congress whan the Congress is in session. The Independent thing was just a political move so he could get elected after losing the Democratic nomination. I daresay Lieberman isn't a true Democrat, as he keeps switching parties. Don't want to be judgmental, but kinda makes ya wonder. 3. Lieberman is a close buddy with McCain, even was considered for VP, so no surprise that he would be asked to speak at RNC. Quote

Basically every one is some sort of strong support for the current administration or for cherished Republican causes. I see nothing wrong with it. The VP has little power unless the President dies. The only problem is that McCain might be a targe for asassination. But I do believe it would get him elected.
