Iron Deacon probably didn't appreciate that too much. When I use to compete in debate I was taught that when my opponent turns to personal insults that is when I know I have won the debate. But when they come from those who disagree with me ... I don't take it so well. Interesting. The same goes as far as those who I call nic names I think. I might shorten a name of someone. And if they know I like or support them ... they usually don't mind. But if I disagree with them frequently or an considered a friend ... it is over looked as just friendly banter. I would hope that we don't have to drop ALL nic names. I think it is fun. But, it does depend upon the spirit behind the nic name. And I think that is usually easily seen.
