rush4hire Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 I made a post that challenged the fanatics that say the SDA church is a cult. One guy decided to look for media by SDA evangelists. He found one and said it's ok. So I created a list of my favorite evangelists with links to their media. So I'll post this list here. If you want, you can post your favorite evangelists. Post links, if you have them, to any media they might have online, unless those links have already been posted. Actually I have been listening all week, as I could, they have free MP3 audio http://www.downeychurch.org/sermons.html I am quite impressed with them. I never heard of that guy. I'm listening to one mp3 now. Listening... How do I say this? I'd hate to say he doesn't have what it takes to make my favorite list. He kinda makes the Gospel confusing, and a good evangelist makes it simple and easy to understand. The "Woo hoo.. party hardy!" thing is a bit off-putting.. [color:#BF0000]Habakkuk 2:2 ...Write the vision, and make [it] plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. I think my favorate evangelist is Lyle Albrecht http://www.hopevideo.com/media_with_Lyle%20Albrecht.htm http://www.loudcry.org/main/video/Lyle_Albrecht/index.shtml A real legend in my mind. 2nd would be Brian McMahon: http://www.loudcry.org/main/video/Brian_McMahon/index.shtml There are so many. Most favorite to least. But even the least, you can learn from. John Wood - documents his very interesting missonary work in India http://www.loudcry.org/main/video/Jon_Wood/index.shtml Charles Byrd - short videos with a lot of special effects http://www.loudcry.org/main/video/Charles_Byrd/index.shtml Peter Gregory - wish I had more http://www.loudcry.org/main/video/Peter_Gregory/index.shtml David Asscherick and Chad Kreuzer are my favorite young guys: David Asscherick - very powerful http://www.hopevideo.com/david_asscherick.htm http://www.loudcry.org/main/video/David_Asscherick/index.shtml Chad Kreuzer http://www.hopevideo.com/Chad%20Kreuzer.htm Keepers of the Flame - is a nice documentary. http://www.loudcry.org/main/video/Keepers_of_the_Flame/index.shtml Doug Bachelor has tons of material. This page has his prophecy seminars. http://www.loudcry.org/main/video/Doug_Batchelor/index.shtml Here are the archives for other shows: Amazing Facts Presents Central Study Hour Everlasting Gospel Bible Answers Here are some lesson guides. http://www.amazingfacts.org/FreeStuff/BibleStudies/StoracleLessons/tabid/104/Default.aspx http://www.amazingfacts.org/FreeStuff/BibleStudies/StudyGuides/tabid/105/Default.aspx These covers are cute: John Carter - very zealous and strait forward - lots of experience in foreign evangelism http://www.loudcry.org/main/video/John_Carter/index.shtml Jack Colon - very dramatic http://www.loudcry.org/main/video/Jack_Colon/index.shtml Steve Wohlberg - alot of production http://whitehorsemedia.com/broadcasts/streams/video/ http://www.loudcry.org/main/video/Steve_Wohlberg/index.shtml Kenneth Cox - stock grade http://www.loudcry.org/main/video/Kenneth_Cox/index.shtml David Down - Great Historian http://www.loudcry.org/main/video/David_Down/index.shtml That's all I have for now. Moderators John317 Posted September 7, 2008 Moderators Posted September 7, 2008 Hey, thanks for these sources. I will definitely be listening to many of them. I especially like John Carter and Doug Batchelor. I also like the former speaker of Amazing Facts, Joe Cruz. I'll no doubt discover some other good ones. Quote John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. Nightingale Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 Stephen Bohr wwwSecretsUnsealed.org One of the most interesting and informative on Bible Prophecy and history. No matter how well I think I know the subject I always learn a great deal more! Quote John 3: 16: "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life."
Amelia Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 My favorite was George Vandeman from "It Is Written". Quote <p><span style="color:#0000FF;"><span style="font-weight:bold;"><span style="font-style:italic;">"Do not use harmful words, but only helpful words, the kind that build up and provide what is needed, so that what you say will do good to those who hear you."</span></span> Eph 4:29</span><br><br><img src="http://banners.wunderground.com/weathersticker/gizmotimetemp_both/US/OR/Fairview.gif" alt="Fairview.gif"> Fairview Or</p>
Woody Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 I can't say that I like any of them. But if I had to choose one ... I would pick Stephen Bohr. That is if he is preaching from the Bible rather than EGW. When he sticks to the Bible ... he does a great job. But I didn't appreciate his series on Mary. Too much Catholic bashing and EGW quoting. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.

Moderators John317 Posted September 7, 2008 Moderators Posted September 7, 2008 Is Wayne Dyer an evangelist? Or Taoist? My favorite evangelists are: Doug Batchelor, Joe Cruz HMS Richards, Sr., L.E. Moderators John317 Posted September 7, 2008 Moderators Posted September 7, 2008 You like Joe Cruz's replacement? D. Allan Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 Could you briefly summarize his view of God or Christ? I'm interested in Eastern religions. "God is that which is indivisible. You can't divide it. God is One. There's no place that God is not. So when you read about people like Gandhi and Maharaj, and Jesus, and people like Ramana Maharshi and Ramakrishna, Mohammed and so on, they're called non-dual beings, people who have "transcended."" -Dr. Wayne Dyer "Your friends are God's way of apologizing for your relatives." ~ Wayne Dyer " Choose to be in close proximity to people who are empowering, who appeal to your sense of connection to intention, who see the greatness in you, who feel connected to God, who live a life that gives evidence that Spirit has found celebration through them. ~ Wayne Dyer ""Good morning, This is God. I will be handling all of your problems today. I will not need your help, so have a miraculous day.”" -Wayne Dyer "When you meet anyone, treat the event as a holy encounter." ~ Wayne Dyer /dAb Quote dAb O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!
Moderators John317 Posted September 7, 2008 Moderators Posted September 7, 2008 I agree with and like these things that Dr. Dyer says: Quote: "God is that which is indivisible..... God is One. There's no place that God is not. ."" -Dr. Wayne Dyer " Choose to be in close proximity to people who are empowering, who appeal to your sense of connection to intention, who see the greatness in you, who feel connected to God, who live a life that gives evidence that Spirit has found celebration through them. ~ Wayne Dyer "When you meet anyone, treat the event as a holy encounter." ~ Wayne Dyer Quote John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. Moderators John317 Posted September 7, 2008 Moderators Posted September 7, 2008 I think so too, but then I realize why some do not agree. God uses many different kinds to reach people. I've known of God's using a song, Bridge Over Troubled Waters, to reach one man. And I believe He used a novel by Herman Hesse to make contact with me and get me thinking about Him again. It still amazes me what God will do to speak to us. You might say He doesn't give us up without a real good fight. Quote John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. [17] For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.
