He clearly called Sarah a pig. It was either an accident or on purpose but an apology was needed. Instead ... he blames the media for his error. Give me a break. He calls it "phoney outrage" and "phoney change" . He claims he was calling John McCain's economic policies a pig. Folks ... it was VERY obvious that he was taking a jab at Sarah. What is offensive is that Palin said of herself that the only difference between her and a pitbull was "lipstick". Then a couple of weeks later Obama uses the old adage "You can put lipstick on a pig but it is still a pig". Well ... the Senate might disagree with you. On the Senate floor ... they called upon Obama to issue an apology for calling Sarah a pig. If you listen to the original audience to which Obama was speaking .... they very well knew who he was referring to. Just listen to their laughs. If Obama was referring to policies ... there wouldn't have been that kind of laugh. You really have to twist the context to say that Obama wasn't referring to Sarah. The perverse distortion of what Obama actually was referring to as can easily be seen from the context is back to Rovian political nonsense. If one would take the time to actually listen to the context, Obama was in fact talking about McCain's economic plans comparing his current plan with what he has proposed in the past and what Bush has already been doing. He said the current plan is just the same old stuff with a little lipstick on it. This "lipstick on a pig" is one that McCain himself has used repeatedly, including about Hillary's current health-care plan compared with the one she came up with during Bill's term. It wasn't sexist or directed at any person then when it came out of McCain's mouth and it's not sexist or in reference to any person now out of Obama's mouth. So enough of this bogus lying outrage!
