LOL. I'm not in Texas, but the far-reaching effects of the hurricane are hitting us this weekend. Gas prices are higher than they've ever been; some stations are entirely out of gas all together. Weather is muggy; storms heading our way in the a.m.

That's the "report" from Saint Louis.

They raise gas prices with all the regularity of flushing a toilet, and with similar results.

The roof was leaking on Doug Bachelor who was preaching the Amazing Adventures series at a Dallas church last night.

Lots of tree limbs down in our area this morning because of high winds and rain last night. Sent the Pathfinders out to clean up the street/sidewalk/parking lot at/around our church neighborhood.

I've been waiting for Jerry Thomas to report in, but on Facebook he said that they were okay.

No definitive info on damages to Adventist churches or members yet. My sister and family live in Orange, east of Houston, and they had heavy winds and rain, lost more trees, but most of the vulerable trees were blown down by the last hurricane (Rita), so not much more damage. I'm certain that we'll be hearing about damages to our church in Galveston and those in the Houston area, but no info yet.
