Moderators John317 Posted September 14, 2008 Moderators Posted September 14, 2008 Daily Presidential Tracking Poll Sunday, September 14, 2008 The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Sunday shows John McCain reaching the 50% level of support for the first time since Barack Obama wrapped up the Democratic Presidential Nomination. McCain retains a three-point advantage for the third straight day, 50% to 47% Quote John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. Neil D Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 And still with in striking distance......and with 49 days to go till election.... The election is heating up with brush offs from the Obama sector over Palin coming on board. McCain camp is not taking things in stride, and keeping Palin in front as a symbol of the shake up that McCain is reportedly going to carry out. What will happen over the next 49 days? Stay tuned as we hear Shane say- "Aww, it's the same ol' Swiftboat tactics!" And Tom reply- "Shane, you wouldn't know a Swiftboat tactic if it came up and bit you on the cheek." Woody Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 Don't forget ... Obama has always been over-rated in the polls. Reality is that he is even further behind. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Neil D Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 Don't forget ... Obama has always been over-rated in the polls. Woody Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 No. In each of the Democratic primaries .... Maybe it's only the Demos that do that. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Neil D Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 No. In each of the Democratic primaries .... Maybe it's only the Demos that do that. And I bet you would say the same thing about Hillery... Dr. Shane Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 What Democrats are concerned about is that many are telling pollsters they will vote for Obama because they don't want to seem racist but when they get in the booth they will vote McCain. They were talking about this on Meet The Press this morning. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Find me at www.PostumCafe.com Author of Peculiar Christianity
Neil D Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 Oooooh, now here is the race card being played.... Like Obama is not qualified so we must elect him under the Civil Equal Rights Act.. Give me a break! Quote Democracy is a device that ensures we shall be governed no better than we deserve. George Bernard Shaw
Dr. Shane Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 This was the discussion on Meet The Press this morning. In the past when black men and women have been on the ballot the polling data has been wrong. That is an established fact. Even exit polling has been wrong (that is when the voter is asked who they voted for after they voted and are leaving the polls). People like to say they are going to vote for the black person even when they are not. That is not Shane's opinion or the opinion of the right-wing Republican machine. That is simply what has happened in the past. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Find me at www.PostumCafe.com Author of Peculiar Christianity
Moderators John317 Posted September 14, 2008 Author Moderators Posted September 14, 2008 That is true. There have been discussions about that on other programs in relation to the polls. The pollsters realize it. It will be interesting to see how this plays out finally. What if exit polls show that Obama is winning when in reality he loses? Horrible thought-- but it appears it could happen if what you say is true. The final results may seem to indicate that the voting has been tampered with. It could cause some to make charges of voter fraud if it is assumed that exit polls and other polls are accurate. Quote John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. [17] For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.
Dr. Shane Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 When Giuliani ran against Dinkins in 1993 the exit polls showed that Dinkins won although Giuliani actually won when all the votes were counted. Moderators John317 Posted September 15, 2008 Author Moderators Posted September 15, 2008 I read the Dinkins made a mess of New York. Was the vote close as far as you know? In this election, I am hoping for a clear winner, with no doubts. But I have a feeling it could be very close. Quote John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. [17] For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.
Dr. Shane Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 I don't know if it was close. It was just being discussed a couple of weeks ago on a program I was watching. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Find me at www.PostumCafe.com Author of Peculiar Christianity
Neil D Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 Some comedy sketches make it so clear.... Quote Democracy is a device that ensures we shall be governed no better than we deserve. George Bernard Shaw
Moderators John317 Posted September 15, 2008 Author Moderators Posted September 15, 2008 Very funny stuff, but I hope people would not get their views from a fictitious comedy sketch (very very loosely based on a little truth). Yet I'm afraid some do. Quote John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. [17] For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.
Neil D Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 You know what makes it funny? While exageration maybe funny, truth be known, exageration has it's basis in an observation. Sarah Palin looks like a lady who has no clue because that is the perception of the observed interviews with Charlie Gibson....Foreign politics for her was the ability to see Russia from her house. Now that's funny.... Quote Democracy is a device that ensures we shall be governed no better than we deserve. George Bernard Shaw
Moderators John317 Posted September 15, 2008 Author Moderators Posted September 15, 2008 OK, but I am sure you realize that the perceptions we start out with often determine our view of people. That is the tragedy of it. It happens all the time. We tend to make excuses for errors or weakness if we like someone, whereas we can be rather harsh for no good reason on other people if we simply dislike them or disagree with them. I don't think everyone does this or does it to the same extent, but our perceptions are certainly influenced and sometimes determined by our preconceptions or our likes and dislikes regarding someone. Quote John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. [17] For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.

bonnie Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 Ha Ha Ha So interesting but this is 2012. It is Romney running against a sitting president with a track record now. Many of his lies/exaggerations and questionable actions are very recent Quote Everything you do is based on the choices you make. It's not your parents, your past relationships, your job, the economy, the weather, an argument, or your age that is to blame. You and only you are responsible for every decision and choice you make, period ... ... Wish more people would realize this. Quotes by Susan Gottesman
