Stan Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 Sometimes I wonder if compassion can exist in an organization anymore. The weary the wounded and the worried, can organization really help? It almost seems like this,,,,, stand in line, we will get to your PROBLEM when we have time.. just because you are having a crisis does not mean we have to have one. Perhaps some of that is overstated... perhaps not...... carolaa Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 I don't know if you're referring to corporations, churches, nonprofits, etc. But it does seem like people are much more tense these days with the economy (at least in the U.S.) and aren't as patient or helpful to their customers as you might expect. It seems like customer service departments, in particular, have gotten *really* bad. I've seen that issue addressed in the news a couple times. Quote
fccool Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 I've lost my confidence in effectiveness of these organizations, and now I choose to help people directly. I think this is more effective and more personal help that actually shows care. I don't think where're any reasons to outsource charity, especially after reading the following headlines. http://www.wcnc.com/news/topstories/stories/wcnc-062408-mw-unitedway.367dd22b.html http://www.newmediaexplorer.org/chris/20...new_orleans.htm I do though still think it's important to have church charity organizations abroad, where the resources are scarce.
