carolaa Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 "1,500 Alaskans Protest Palin in Anchorage In Alaska, 1,500 people took part in a protest Sunday organized by a new group called Alaska Women Reject Palin. The Anchorage Daily News described the event as the largest demonstration in Anchorage in recent memory. Earlier in the day, the Republican vice-presidential nominee Sarah Palin spoke at a smaller rally of supporters in Anchorage." [Democracy Now!] Quote
Woody Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 What a joke. Over 80% of Alaskans support her. What does 1500 angry women mean? Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Moderators John317 Posted September 16, 2008 Moderators Posted September 16, 2008 A more accurate reading would be "some women" or a "minority of women." We can expect the Democrats to reject her as vice-president. Last I checked, about 80% of Alaskans like her job as Governor. Anyhow a clear majority of women and men in Alaska have a favorable view of her work as Governor. Democrats who like our Governor, Arnold S., would no doubt vote against him if he were running as a Republican VP candidate. That's politics for you. Quote John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. [17] For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.
