Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted September 21, 2008 Members Posted September 21, 2008 I think the SDA church is afraid of somehow *offending* someone somewhere somehow. Neil D Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 Pam, the SDA church wouldn't know how to handle PR...In fact, they can produce some of the greatest ads....and then force the church choir to view it ....and lament that no one is following their ad.. Case in point....advertisements for our schools Quote Democracy is a device that ensures we shall be governed no better than we deserve. George Bernard Shaw
rush4hire Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 This did come from the SDA church. The SDA church has been the foremost pioneer for health reform in the world. Other organizations have picked up on this. Good for them. No one ever made a patent on health reform. Now healthy eating is just common sense. Now we can move on to bigger and better things, while we continue to facilitate the move to a more . I've seen the work at Wiemar and Hartland and other conservative places where they do health evangelism. I've seen the health seminars. It is true that more people should get involved in these programs, and the programs should be more available for people to get involved in. Quote I cant make a sig with 30 chrs
Amelia Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 Rush, no where on their wesbsite does it say they are in any way connected with the SDA church. No where on the main website http://www.pcrm.org/ does it say they are connected with the SDA church. Since you have stated that this video did come from the SDA church; I ask you now to prove it. rush4hire Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 I didn't state that this video came from the SDA church. The poster said he wished it came from our church. I said the Adventist movement got the whole health reform thing started on the first place, but is seldom given credit for this. And that other organizations have picked up on it. The SDA church has been the foremost pioneer for health reform in the world. Other organizations have picked up on this. Good for them. No one ever made a patent on health reform. Red, you know that he's talking about me, and he doesn't know how to respond to me.... Rush, FYI my ex, who is a teacher/principal used to drag me to her teacher/principal conferences that the Adventist church would hold yearly. Both Idaho, and Washington conferences would put together these 10-20 minute advertisments and insist that they be shown to each of the churches. One year, I asked them why they are doing what they are doing? I told them it was well put together, and that it should go out into the public. In fact, they could cut it down to a one minute or 30 seconds and advertist it, and they might see some great numbers come ito the church schools....As it was, they showed it to the churches and was preaching to the choir. The churches know it...The people inside the church know it. They know that there is help for them to send thier children to school...and about 80% of our church memeber do send thier children thru elementary church school, and it drops down to 70% in high school, depending upon the area of the country you live in. That was my experience when I was married to my ex and what I saw in the church... And I have seen how Adventist Health system has keep the wages of it's worker so low, they have problems keeping good quantified people in their labor staff. Any small rural hospital that has the name "adventist" on it, is one to stay away from.... Oh, an Rush, if you are making a joke, it's best to use those icons up in the tool bar...With what we have seen of your posting, until we get a better idea of who you are, you need to be plain in whether you are joking or not....
