Woody Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Fox News reports that this year there is a higher chance that the election in the electoral college will be a tie this year than compared to 2004. They showed 12 ways that this could happen. Then there would be a terrible mess. Oh well ... the economy is in a mess ... why not politics. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Liz Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Oh no, I was hoping that whoever wins; wins very decidedly. No recounts, hanging chads or dimples; but a clear cut winner. Is it just me, or has this election year felt like it has gone on for several years already? Quote For what will a man be profited, if he gains the whole world, and forfeits his soul? Dr. Shane Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 FoxNews and ABC are both really on top of this. They are both coming to the same conclusions. This is turning out to be a fascinating election. Perhaps the chances of a tie being greater this year than in the past is because we have two good candidates. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Dr. Shane Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 Let me correct myself. It is CBS, not ABC, that is staying on top of this much like FOXNews. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Find me at www.PostumCafe.com Author of Peculiar Christianity
Moderators Bravus Posted September 24, 2008 Moderators Posted September 24, 2008 I think the latest polls are showing Obama with a 5% lead, which would be far from a tie if it carried through across the board in the election. Quote Truth is important
Woody Posted September 24, 2008 Author Posted September 24, 2008 Bravus ... two things you need to consider. Once is that the polls are always over-rating Obama. When the votes come in ... he always gets less. Second is that like I said in another thread ... most states are decided. And the fact that they might be further supporting Obama does not matter. The Electoral College is what matters. So, how the candidates are doing in the undecided states is what matters. Not how they are doing nation-wide. Many are saying that whoever wins Ohio will win the election or cause a tie. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
