Lineman Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 I read this definition some time back and wanted to share it here: Grace is different than Justice and Mercy: Justice is getting what we deserve. Mercy is NOT getting what we deserve. Grace is getting what we DO NOT DESERVE. I kind of like "grace", especially God's. Quote Visit and Share the BibleTimelines.com URL ! I was about to ask the same thing. I don't think most people in this forum ask questions to "test" people. That's playing games, and we don't do a lot of that here. When we do, it's usually pretty obvious. I'm not sure what the purpose of your listing all those texts was, but I don't see anything in the Bible that talks about grace being "power" to do God's will. And you didn't say a word to explain what you meant by the above post, which we're still trying to figure out. What does grace have to do with not making mistakes? Quote

Assume the best for them. Don't try to find fault. Try to find things you admire about people. Give them grace. Let people find grace, or favor in your eyes. These are the verses that come to my mind. Mark 10:44 And whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all. If people find grace in your site, you will be their servants. You will care about them. Those God puts in your path. Would it be more appropriate and merciful to offer them injustice instead of justice? "And therefore the Lord [earnestly] waits [expecting, looking, and longing] to be gracious to you; and therefore He lifts Himself up, that He may have mercy on you and show loving-kindness to you.
