rush4hire Posted September 30, 2008 Posted September 30, 2008 This is for those who want to give people Bible studies. There's a nice Bible study set called Storacles of Prophecy, found at AmazingFacts.org Storacle Lessons You can download those PDF files and print them. Or you can read online. If you read online, you get color pictures to look at. I decided we should have the best of both worlds: I just took the PDFs and incorporated the pictures in with Adobe InDesign. Only 2 languages at this time. English Tagalog (Tagalog is the language of the Philippines) Here's a random sample: Before After I also downloaded the video files from AmazingFacts.org and trans-coded them and made a 2 disk DVD set. Each DVD plays 12 hours in any DVD player. They said this was OK. After all, People in first world countries have internet, so they can watch these same videos for free. But in a 3rd world country like the Philippines, only the rich have internet. But everyone has DVD players, so distributing DVDs seemed like the right thing to do. Here's the DVD menu: Here are the DVD covers and labels I made for the Millennium of Prophecy series. There are some small errors, but they have been fixed in the working files: This one is the sleeve for Final Events. This can be printed on a CD sleeve, like a software CD comes in. Those are cheap. It saves buying DVD cases, so you can distribute tons for a very low cost. I have a sleeve for the other DVDs. I just can't find a sample now. It's about like the back of the other DVD covers. These images are small for web viewing. I can upload the big, high resolution files, if anyone wanted to print them. I just didn't think anyone would. You'd have to email me. Also, those look better printed than on the web. ----- Oh. If you want to print the PDFs to give Bible studies, you can print at 77% the original size. Or just have the Adobe program resize automatically. If people want, I can make high resolution images. Your image program can give you more versatility in printing than Adobe PDF viewer. I think Adobe PDF viewer makes the margins too big. But I guess I have an old version. I don't know what the latest version does. I've been just printing from Adobe InDesign. I didn't post the InDesign files, because I know it's an expensive program, and I didn't figure anyone would have it. The resize to 77% is needed because I kept the same size. The original PDFs are 11 x 17 inch. So if you want to take them to the print shop, and use that big paper, you can. Also the resize to 77% will use a 8.5 x 13 inch paper. If you can't find that size paper, use 14 inch and cut off an inch in a paper cutter. The fit is perfect. I would also use thick paper because of the pictures. I have an Epsom printer with CIS, (Continuous ink system). The print cost is only a couple cents per sheet. It's very cheap. You can print thousands of them and just hand them out for samples, with some contact information so people can get signed up for Bible studies. I suppose laser jet would work too. I also print them on photo resolution, because the type is quite small. Well, let me know what you think. God bless! Quote I cant make a sig with 30 chrs
