Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted October 6, 2008 Members Posted October 6, 2008 ..... now off my Quote Pam Meddle Not In the Affairs of Dragons; for You Are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup. If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony. Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?

Moderators lazarus Posted October 6, 2008 Moderators Posted October 6, 2008 LOL, Quote Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocrities. cricket Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 I just don't understand how this is appropriate. Can someone help me understand? Quote
Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted October 6, 2008 Members Posted October 6, 2008 They wouldn't be laughing if it was about Obama, and neither would I. It's not only in poor taste, but it is really way off the mark of civility. Quote Pam Meddle Not In the Affairs of Dragons; for You Are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup. Moderators John317 Posted October 6, 2008 Moderators Posted October 6, 2008 You've heard "everything's fair in love and war." Well, now unfortunately maybe you can add "politics" to that list. Quote John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. [17] For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.
Moderators lazarus Posted October 6, 2008 Moderators Posted October 6, 2008 I just don't understand how this is appropriate. Can someone help me understand? Of course it's not appropriate!! There's nothing to really understand other than they're poking fun at Mrs Palin and using some words/expressions that most of us wouldn't use. And of course if this were about Obama I probably wouldn't laugh but I might if it was really funny. Quote Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocrities. Moderators Jeannieb43 Posted October 7, 2008 Moderators Posted October 7, 2008 This "Ballad" isn't nearly as funny as the Saturday Night Live piece in which Tina Fey imitates Sarah Palin's debate with Senator Biden. [it's making the rounds on the internet, but I don't know how to move it here.] --My take on the "reason" for all these spoofs is that Sarah Palin is such an easy target! She's so 'way out' compared with most V-P candidates. Quote Jeannie

...Change is inevitable; growth is optional....
Dr. Shane Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 It is all in good fun. Some humor can really be in bad taste but this didn't seem to cross the line as far as I am concerned. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Find me at www.PostumCafe.com Author of Peculiar Christianity
