HUmpty Dumpty

As a youngster I remember learning some nursery rhymes as well as some Bible

texts. Humpty Dumpty was an animated large egg that sat on a wall and had a

great fall. The closing line of the rhyme was that "all of the king's horses

and all of the king's men could not put Humpty Dumpty together again."

The traditional Jewish Fall Festivals have been upon us, and the 10 days

between Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish new year, and Yom Kippur, the day of

atonement, has just slipped by. Those ten days were to be of the most utmost

soul searching and repentance as the High Priest was to enter into The Most

Holy Place for the judgment of the nation at the mercy seat of God. I say

'just slipped by' because now comes the calamity of Halloween 'worship.'

During this same period of time there has been much concern about the 'fall'

of our monetary and economic system, and not just America's, but world

wide--global. It is noteworthy that the best advice we receive from the

pundits is that if we just hang on to our present stock and situation,

everything will eventually be OK.

SDA's know that the Revelation trumpets and plagues must play out before we

see Jesus in the clouds. In Rev 18 all of the king's men can do nothing

about their sinking economy. (ships) I would like to suggest this is a

golden time to show Jesus to this world, in every respect; in teaching, in

sharing and in living.

Striving for a better relationship with Him!
