Guest truthseeker007 Posted October 28, 2008 Posted October 28, 2008 Actually i have got one question and one thought i would like to share with you; the thought; I ve often wondered why the old testament God seems so evil and how he could be the same God of the new testament. Yesterday i ve watched a video of Walter Veith in which he dealt with this issue. He said that God gave clear warnings to Sodom and Gomorra, send prophets and that he uses violence as a final option when there is no hope left. He says this was necessary in order to protect God s people and the future generations from deseases etc. I think that this might very well be true. Maybe God isn t so evil after all. The question: Anybody ever heard of the 7 day millenium theory? the bible says that to God one day could be like a thousand years. By using calculations David Gates claims that Jesus has to return before 2031. The 7th day will be the millenium when the saints are in heaven, examining a final judgement for the wicked. Personally i hope this theory is true, it would mean we are the last generation of this planet before Jesus returns. Another little question: i geuss once we are in heaven we don t multiply ourselves anymore? Quote
Members phkrause Posted October 28, 2008 Members Posted October 28, 2008 TS Hi; I remember reading somewhere, I believe EGW, Mentioning the reason for so much bloodshed in the OT and especially in the land of canaan, was that the people living there were so wicked. Like back in Abraham and Lots time. And yes I have heard of that millenium theory, but more in the terms of the sabatical years that God had step up with the Hebrews. pk Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan.
