Conservative nanny state

A pretty great book. As with any book, I would not agree on every point, but there are some good ones. The author believes enough in the cause to let you read it for free. Demonstrates well how conservatism was the last standing bastion of waste... can no longer be relied on.

Conservatives today are anything but fiscally solvent.

I think US needs better alternatives than socialism, or more of the same.

That is a great link! Thanks for sharing it. For a long time I have noticed that conservatives have no problem spending money and that balanced budgets and the national debt mean little to them. Now I see why. Somehow I never consciously put it together with the fact that they actually support big government.
