Moderators Jeannieb43 Posted November 11, 2008 Moderators Posted November 11, 2008 I wish that now the election's over, we could all just talk about our country, and its goals and aspirations. Not talk about divisive things such as 'who can beat Obama in 2012' and other inane fantasies. There are a lot of crises, and a lot of good events too. We don't need to categorize them as "right wing" or "left wing" any longer. Now we're united. Now we should look ahead. I wish. Dr. Shane Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 Is this a new wish or was this a wish that goes back to post 2000 election and post 2004 election. Are we to stop being divisive now because a Democrat was elected or should have we stopped when a Republican was chosen in 2000 and 2004? I hope we are not being hypocrits by wishing for unity under Deomcrat leadership but actively participating in divisiveness under Republican leadership. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Now that the country has allowed the most left wing candidate in history to win ... we are all of a sudden "united". Nearly half of the States went for McCain/Palin ... how is that being united? Woody Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 Let me officially second your snort Pam. Good to see you. I suspect we will see that Obama is a divider not a uniter. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.

On the topic though, as long as there are Democrats and Republicans, there will never be a *united* anything. Yeah, it would be nice, Jeanne...But as long as the Republicans among us see communists and socialist behind every tree, I am afraid it will not happen...And until a Republican who is NOT a conservative gets into the White House, these guys will grouse about everything and anything tainted by the democratic touch....They need a heart transplant...But until they see thier mistake, they never will....It's like the Great Controversy...Satan sees things that just isn't there.
