Moderators lazarus Posted November 21, 2008 Moderators Posted November 21, 2008 Here's an update, I don't feel so bad after all....... http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/politics/2008/11/20/moos.bush.not.ignored.cnn Quote Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocrities. The latter cannot understand it when a man does not thoughtlessly submit to hereditary prejudices but honestly and courageously uses his intelligence. Einstein
Administrators Tom Wetmore Posted November 21, 2008 Administrators Posted November 21, 2008 That does illustrate how important context is when interpreting anything... Quote "Absurdity reigns and confusion makes it look good." "Sinless perfection is such a shallow goal." "I love God only as much as the person I love the least." *Forgiveness is always good news. Dr. Shane Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 Worst President Ever President Wilson loaded arms onto a passenger ship to bound for England. He was selling the arms to Great Brittan in a war the the US had declared itself neutral on. The innocent civilians on that passenger ship were unaware they were sailing with an illegal shipment of arms to Great Brittan. When a German submarine torpedoed the ship and sank it President Wilson called it an unprovoked attack on American civilians. He asked Congress to declare war on Germany thus bring the US into WW1. It was all a lie. That lie not only led to millions of American lives being lost in WW1 but since the cause of WW2 was WW1 we can also conclude that President Wilson's lie led to all the deaths of WW2. Knowing history for what it is, how can anyone conclude that President Bush is the worst President in history? President Tureman has made some mistakes but those mistakes can be compared to ones made my Lyndon B. Johnson or Harry Trueman. We have had Presidents worse than any of these men.
