veggiesmile Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 I hi, I want to know if it is okay to wear polyester, based on Deuteronomy 22:11(KJV)? Thanks, Veggiesmile Quote
Guest Bruno Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 Well, it clearly says not to wear two types of fabric at the same time, so....... It seems fine to wear polyester, just don't mix it with cotton, or any other fabrics. Only polyester with polyester, bring back the baby blue poly suits!!!!! YAH Quote

Moderators Kevin H Posted November 23, 2008 Moderators Posted November 23, 2008 Once again this comes from the Cannanite belief that they had to help Baal and the gods of life by religious services being where they would unite their life forces by mixing different grains together, different fabrics together, and where families would have sex with each other and with their animals and with their neighbors, where normally heterosexual couples would engage in homosexual actvity with the belief that it would somehow help their marriage, wealth, food supply and flocks improve and grow, parents having sex with their children thinking this would help them become better providers for their children and protect their children from starvation. God did not want Israel to do these. These actvities could not help him and God just wanted his people to trust him and to keep their relationships sacred and discreet and exclusive. That Heterosexual people should not be involved in homosexual relationships, that parents should not have sex with their children, that families should not have sex with their pets and flocks and their neighbor's kids and neighbors flocks and their neighbors. Today we do not see the mixing together of fabrics as a way of mixing together life forces tempting us to get involved in this mass mixing. However to the ancient Hebrews the mixing of the fabrics and grains would be seen as the same as getting involved with an orgie and would tempt them to get involved with this uniting of life forces hoping that their works can help God / the gods to bring fertality, crops, flocks and wealth.
