Dr. Shane Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 I am growing a beard for Christmas. I will post a picture when there are 10 people willing to donate a dollar to Club Adventist (aka Adventist Forum) to see it. Furthermore, I will match all donations pledged before Christmas up to $35. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Find me at www.PostumCafe.com Author of Peculiar Christianity
Dr. Shane Posted November 29, 2008 Author Posted November 29, 2008 I have several pictures in our gallery but for those who have not seen pictures of me. He is one. (sorry, no beard ) Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Find me at www.PostumCafe.com Author of Peculiar Christianity

Liz Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 I didn't vote, I don't like beards. Is this alright with your wife???? Dr. Shane Posted November 30, 2008 Author Posted November 30, 2008 Actually, you can vote even if you don't want to see a picture of me. It is for a cause that all of us here think is worthy otherwise we wouldn't be here. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Find me at www.PostumCafe.com Author of Peculiar Christianity

olger Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 Thanks. That is an Adventist Pastor - Dennis Farley. We spent part of last sabbath with him in Boston. Great guy !! Quote "Please don't feed the drama queens.."
Dr. Shane Posted December 2, 2008 Author Posted December 2, 2008 We only have two people willing to donate so far. This forum should be the favorite charity of everyone with their name in the "Top Posters (30 Days)" list of the right-hand column. I know we pay a subscription fee but additional funds can be used to advertise in union papers and bring more exposure and more members. BTW: I think I look like Chuck Norris with my beard. Maybe I am wrong but it would explain why my subcontractors fall to their knees and beg me not to hit them now when we have a disagreement. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Moderators LynnDel Posted December 2, 2008 Moderators Posted December 2, 2008 Wow - that beard is impressive, Olger! It should be a ten dollar pay-per-view item. Your beard had better grow to be a good one, Shane (i.e. better than a scruffy Chuck Norris lookalike), before you pose for your reveal-all shot. After that, perhaps you can solicit bids for a shave-off. Winner gets the trimmings, possibly useful to scatter in the garden as a pest deterrent. LD Quote LD
olger Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 :) That's nothing. My cousin Charles has a 5-button beard. Quote "Please don't feed the drama queens.."

Dr. Shane Posted December 16, 2008 Author Posted December 16, 2008 We are getting closer to Christmas. Also closer to the end of the year. Gifts to C/A are tax deductible for those living in the US. This forum does a great job not only edifying the church but reaching many ex-Adventists and non-practicing Adventists. A shot of cash will help Stan increase advertising and reach more people. The beard is getting a little shaggy, my wife is well-past ready for me to shave it off. But Christmas is just around the corner. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Taylor Posted January 24, 2009 Posted January 24, 2009 You wife looks really sweet and she's pretty too. You have smile wrinkles around your eyes which always makes a person look friendly. The beard doesn't look bad on you. I usually don't like beards but yours is ok, mainly because it is cut short to your face and not a "Noah" type beard, lol And ya you may resemble Chuck Norris...cuz the beard is red. You know what I think is weird? I have a family member who has really dark brown hair...almost black but when he used to have a beard, I'd guess that at least 50% of the hairs were as red as yours seems to be...it was like a multi-color beard. Why? Quote
darlene Posted January 24, 2009 Posted January 24, 2009 I like it, Shane. You look neat with a beard. (not that you don't without one. :-) Quote
