Taylor Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 My dad is in ICU with pneumonia and related complications. Please pray for him as he isn't doing too well and is not sleeping at all in ICU as they need to take him for testing here and there all the time, it seems. (Which I can completely understand but he is very exhausted.) Quote

LifeHiscost Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 My dad isn't doing well...he is now intubated...which means a machine is now breathing for him. "Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven." Matthew 18:19 KJV I am claiming this promise for the sake of your father, Taylor, that he may receive mercy and healing according to God's will. "What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?" Romans 8:31 KJV Blessings! Quote Lift Jesus up!!
Lineman Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 I am sorry to hear about your dad. You can add my name to the list of those praying for him and for you. Quote: Delight yourself also in the LORD, And He shall give you the desires of your heart. Ps. 37:4 It is my prayer that God will use this to bring a real blessing to you and as many in your family that will accept whatever blessing that He wants to send your way. I was just thinking about another person who has inoperable cancer and thinking that God can heal, but sometimes it is the greatest blessing for us all (including the patient) to keep "polishing" us. >>> "The trials of life are God's workmen, to remove the impurities and roughness from our character. Their hewing, squaring, and chiseling, their burnishing and polishing, is a painful process; it is hard to be pressed down to the grinding wheel. But the stone is brought forth prepared to fill its place in the heavenly temple. Upon no useless material does the Master bestow such careful, thorough work. Only His precious stones are polished after the similitude of a palace. " Thoughts from the Mount of Blessing, page 23, 24 Quote Visit and Share the BibleTimelines.com URL ! Taylor Posted December 7, 2008 Author Posted December 7, 2008 He is at least stable, so I am thankful for that. His blood pressure is a bit too low but they are working on that. His heart rate has come down a smidge which is a good thing as it was in atrial fribrilation which it still is..but it was much worse this morning than right now when I left him at the hospital. I am just glad he got through this day and thanks so much for your prayers!! Quote
Woody Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 How are YOU Taylor? I am so glad that your Dad is stable. But how are you and the family. I pray you are holding up. Taylor Posted December 7, 2008 Author Posted December 7, 2008 Thanks Stan..really appreciate it...it's not a fun thing to go through for anyone....I really thought my Dad might not make it through the night on Friday night as he was very very bad. He is still in critical condition...but a bit more stable which is good. Quote
Taylor Posted December 7, 2008 Author Posted December 7, 2008 Just talked to my Mom in ICU..am headed over....Dad isn't doing well again.....please pray! :( Quote

Taylor Posted December 8, 2008 Author Posted December 8, 2008 Dad is a bit better tonight. They turned off the Verced (not sure of the spelling...but it is med to keep people sedated). We are just praying he doesn't get frantic once he begins to wake up. If he doesn't..then they can possibly stop weaning him off the ventilator...but only time will tell...he took a turn for the worse so fast on Friday that it could happen again, according to the doctors so keep praying. Thanks! Quote
