EPA wants to tax cow flatulence

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - For farmers, this stinks: Belching and gaseous cows and hogs could start costing them money if a federal proposal to charge fees for air-polluting animals becomes law.

Farmers so far are turning their noses up at the notion, which is one of several put forward by the Environmental Protection Agency after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in 2007 that greenhouse gases emitted by belching and flatulence amounts to air pollution.

"This is one of the most ridiculous things the federal government has tried to do," said Alabama Agriculture Commissioner Ron Sparks, an outspoken opponent of the proposal.

This nonsense is another link in the long chain of regulatory twaddle that comes from out-of-shape liberal professors and their big EPA brother. Those who perpetrate such things on the American public should be sentenced to breathe cow flatulence for seven years while flushing manure down 1.2 gallon toilets.

hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!! That was a good one olger. Its amazing what people will do or should I say the EPA. What's really interesting in that regard is when you take a car older than 1995 I believe you don't even get the emissions part of the inspection anymore, at least not here in Massachusetts. You'd think the older the car the tighter the regulations should be, but Nooooooo! Natural gases from animals can't possibly pollute the environment as back if at all like cars and trucks etc.

This is part of that conspiracy theory of global warming. The conspirator people say this tax money will go to the new world order and somehow this is a carbon tax. They predict more of this.

Personally, I think it's a great idea. Anyone who has lived around, or driven near, the big stockyards would surely agree. They are a blight on the earth.
