Do angels belong to the Royal Family? Or can they? Or are we as Earthlings the only ones that have that opportunity? Would this not place us above the angels? "The first man was of the earth, made of dust; the second Man is the Lord from Heaven." 1 Cor.15:47. In other words, the above passage of Scripture means that "It is the privilege of every believer in Christ to possess Christ's nature, a nature far above that which Adam and Eve forfeited by transgression." E.G. White, The Upward Look, 18. To everyone that comes to God trusting wholly in the merits of a crucified and Saviour "The Lord places His own merits upon him and thus elevates him in the scales of moral value with God." E.G. White, Our Father Cares,121. Thus we may be one with Christ as He is one with the Father and become members of the Royal Family. laval Take a close look at it one more time! This passage of Scripture and the two statements from the pen of inspiration tell us something that not one in one hundred understands for himself. Yet, it is a most precious truth, so precious that all the treasured wealth of man since the beginning of time is nothingness when compared to it. It is a truth that all need to understand and appreciate for it is the fullness of the blessing of the Gospel of Christ! Rom.15:29. How many of us can say that we truly appreciate these words for what they really are. We can talk about everything under the sun even when it comes to religious things but the most important and stupendous truths that God has ever sent to us are totally unappreciated if not totally ignored. It is the privilege of every believer in Christ to possess a nature that not even holy angels possess. Not many understand what it means to "become a partaker of the divine nature." 2 Peter 1:4. It is this nature that elevates us above the angels who have never sinned and that makes us members of the Royal Family. Angels are not members of the Royal Family. They are ministers serving the Royal Family just as the Royal Family in England is served by ministers appointed by the Royal Family. Holy angels have a perfect nature but nevertheless it is still angelic nature, no more, no less. They were created with a nature superior to that of man but now through Christ man can be elevated far above perfect angelic nature if they will appropriate the merits of Christ to themselves. Thus they are elevated, in the scales of moral value, with God! This is food for thought, don't you think? And yet I have never heard a clear presentation on these things. Have you? Not until we know what is the sinner's privilege can we begin to appreciate the words of Paul: "Thank God for His unspeakable Gift." 2 Cor.9:15. sky (laval) I believe this is the truth the enemy has succeeded, to a large degree, in hiding from mankind by casting his shadow across our pathway. Could you put it in your own words briefly ... the answers to the questions? I think what you are saying is that we do become members of the royal family ... but what about the angels? I've read somewhere that the Angels are above us right now, but Jesus comes to gather us to him, than we will be higher the angels.
