Dr. Shane Posted December 28, 2008 Posted December 28, 2008 In Mexico there are families that spend 80%-90% of their income on food. Some basically work and spend all their income on mass-transportation and food. They don't have electricity and live in a tar-paper shack built on someone else's land. That is quite common. Even in middle-class families, the cost of food is over 50% for many. So reducing the cost of food means a lot more for Mexicans than it would for Americans. Obviously since Mexicans are eating more meat in their diets, NAFTA has done them well. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Find me at www.PostumCafe.com Author of Peculiar Christianity
Robert Posted December 29, 2008 Posted December 29, 2008 ..... NAFTA has done them well. The rich and their exploitation has created good? So evil does good? Hmmm! Quote

In Soviet Union for example the pornography was almost non-existent and possession of it was punished by jail time. The crime was low, and there were hardly any homeless people. The food prices were likewise kept relatively low by the government fixed prices. Would you say that Soviet Communism was a good thing based on the above? I mean... many people benefited from it... and suffered from it falling down. So was it a good thing after all? Quote
