Dr. Shane Posted December 21, 2008 Posted December 21, 2008 Two New Storms, Arctic Blast Another winter storm will cross the Midwest into the Northeast over the balance of the weekend, followed by a blast of arctic air. Meanwhile, a storm that will create blizzard conditions in the Northwest could cause trouble in the Midwest Tuesday and the East on Christmas Eve day. The Midwest and the East will barely have time to dig out from the snow and ice that blasted the regions on Friday before the next system moves through by Sunday. The extreme arctic air, being pushed to the south and east by strong winds behind the storm will pave the way for the third storm in the train that is adding to the winter woes in the Northwest. Dr. Shane Posted December 21, 2008 Author Posted December 21, 2008 It started blowing cold rain here in the tropics this morning. It is suppose to get down to 36º F or 2º C. I guess we won't have a 80ºF or 26ºC Christmas. Well,,, maybe, we still have a few days for it to warm up. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Dr. Shane Posted December 22, 2008 Author Posted December 22, 2008 This is my 10th Christmas in the tropics and so far we have only had one 80º F Christmas. Most of the time it is quite a bit cooler. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Find me at www.PostumCafe.com Author of Peculiar Christianity

Dr. Shane Posted December 22, 2008 Author Posted December 22, 2008 Well, I guess the big question isn't so much about local neighborhoods but about the polar ice caps. Are the polar ice caps shrinking or growing? I think the answer to that is yes although I know it is disputed. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... fccool Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 If the answer is yes... then it's a vague one . Yes to shrinking, or growing? Quote

Administrators Tom Wetmore Posted December 24, 2008 Administrators Posted December 24, 2008 35 and thunderstorms for Brisbane on Christmas day, but we'll be in Melbourne Well how about that we will be heading over to Melbourne on Christmas day too... Melbourne, Florida, that is... We are on the Gulf side of Florida now. Weather has been most pleasant - a high of 78 today. Quote "Absurdity reigns and confusion makes it look good."
