Moderators Gerr Posted December 22, 2008 Moderators Posted December 22, 2008 If we all gave a faithful tithe and gave liberal offerings, there wouldn't be any want in the church's storehouse, and there would be no need for a scond tithe, at least for the poor brothers and sisters in the church, IMO. If you mean for poor people in general, the SDAC is not big enough or rich enough to take care of all the poor people of the world. And if we did what your friend recommends, i.e. sell everything we have and give to the poor, we would merely swell the ranks of the poor. Quote
