What should today's Adventist be concerned about?

I believe so many argue over Ellen White and prophecy today they lose what we should really be as Christians. Foremost we must rely fully in Christ, his word and follow after God's commandments. It really doesn't matter if we read every page of Ellen White's writings or if we think we have the prophecies of Daniel and Revelation down pat. What matters is how we stand with Christ in our daily lives. I have found that to be true after many years of arguing with people who disagreed with my beliefs.Strife only breeds contention.

I am amazed by the accuracy though in one of sister White's predictions on spiritualism. It has grown from backroom card readings and spiritualists to big time media 'Ghost hunter" shows and afterlife shows on TV. It is now readily accepted. God accepts everyone into the "light" when they die irregardless of belief. Wow, is that different than what Jesus taught eh?

I believe the Christian life must have individual discipline of not only character, but daily devotion through prayer and bible reading.Otherwise we grow lazy and become stagnant.What are your thoughts?

You say that "we must rely fully in Christ, his word and follow after God's commandments", so if the Spirit of Prophecy is the testimony of Christ to us in our time, should we reject it?
