Ben_White Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 Just wondering what the SDA policy is on the use of the Spiritual Gifts in their assemblies? Do parishoners pray in tounges, give interpretations of tounges, Prophecy or give people Words of Knowlege from God in the meetings? Quote
Members phkrause Posted January 1, 2009 Members Posted January 1, 2009 I don't believe we as a church believe in the girt of tongues the way its done in other christian churches (penticostal) for one. But I do believe in the gift of tongues as mentioned in the Bible. pk Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. olger Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 Indeed, we believe in the gift of (languages). Gibberish need not apply. Quote "Please don't feed the drama queens.."
bygjymbo Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 The "official" beliefs are listed here. Numbers 5 & 17 talk about spiritual gifts. http://www.adventist.org/beliefs/fundamental/index.html The real gifts are to glorify God and perpetuate and enlarge His kingdom, not for some sort of euphoric high or proof of conversion.
