Moderators Jeannieb43 Posted January 2, 2009 Moderators Posted January 2, 2009 Very interesting. And I knew nothing about her so I clicked on one of the other YouTube videos in that group. It explained her position, and how she was appointed. I don't understand the politics of Canada, but I see you're having just as many political and economic problems there as we are in the U.S. Thanks for posting this, Stan. Stan Posted January 2, 2009 Author Posted January 2, 2009 Thanks my friend.. The financial crisis, is that Canada may operate at a deficit next year, and that it looks like there is going to be a recession, mostly because of the auto industry. At least the Canadian Social Security is fully funded.. Stan Posted January 2, 2009 Author Posted January 2, 2009 She was born in Haiti, became a journalist and won the respect of so many... the previous Governor General was born in Japan. (also female) The political problems are not over yet, I expect this government to fall. Which means another federal election. Moderators Nan Posted January 2, 2009 Moderators Posted January 2, 2009 Must be the fashion to have female G-G's. I respect ours highly, but will have to give Canada the lead in cuteness stakes! Quote
