Members phkrause Posted January 9, 2009 Members Posted January 9, 2009 Looks very interesting. Watched the first part and plan on seeing the rest. The only problem I have with this is you have all these different people giving us all this advice. They are all different telling us this or that, they are all conflicting. Like Suzie Orman, I think that's her name, etc. (there are many) all have different ways for you to follow. So why doesn't the government have them come in and fix the problem? Nothing against you personally, I'm just venting. Because they all seem to know the answers. Or at least they think they do. pk Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2
fccool Posted January 9, 2009 Author Posted January 9, 2009 Well, actually Chris will be presenting this information before Congress this year. I think it's a bit too late to turn back the tide as many of the events will flow as a result of natural self-correction. Basically, the Idea behind the course is to: 1) Show that our monetary system has limits 2) Show were these limits are 3) Show that most of the past century advances in technology and comfort levels are solely due to oil use as cheap energy, with these days are now reversing their course. 4) It's better to be prepared than to know the information and do nothing about it, because these issues are not discussed in public today. It is paramount that we discuss these issues in our churches. It's not a matter of being an "alarmist" it's a matter of recognizing patterns and moving to action. Almost all factors point to a natural historic apex of some sort for the entire world. What I like about this one is that Chris does not dwell too much on governments policy... as it is irrelevant for the most part at this point. There are some facts that are now easily reversible by any policy. Once of these facts is that our monetary system has to experience a sustain growth in order to avoid a collapse. This is not a problem of a policy, but a problem of a system. Yet our government is trying to solve systematic problems by way of policy experimenting to no avail. It will be very interesting next couple of years as Chris pointed out the exponantial growths are really beginning to take off. Quote
