Woody Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 HEY GAIL GOD AND JESUS AND THE HOLY SPIRIT are very real to me yes there is a couple of struggles like I have been out of work since JUNE 2008 but I have been drawing unemployment since JULY 2008 but praise GOD I have been able to pay my bills---have food to eat---and still have a roof over my head----and a bed to sleep in... dgrimm60 Praise God for His provisions for us. I just received my last unemployment check. Hoping they extent the benefit for another 6 months. There is nothing available in the Printing business for what I was doing. But like you the Lord has been very good to us. We have been really blessed, Praise the Lord. Hopefully something comes along soon for you and me. I guess when your 60 nobody wants to take a chance that you will stay. haha Anyway I know the Lord has a reason and something will come along. missionlady Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 Hey all, Sorry about the job losses. That is tough. I'm glad you are still praising God though. Currently, one of my daughters is looking for a job--one that pays enough to actually pay all her bills. Things are getting down to the wire for her-please pray. I am a retired homeschool teacher. Now I don't know what to do. That was almost my whole life. Health issues came up during those years that prevent me from getting many other jobs now. I have been blessed to be able to substitute a few times. I am somewhat discouraged right now. I had been asked to sub for a month. I was really looking forward to it. Then when I hadn't been informed of the promised further details, I asked about them, and found out that the school had hired someone else and forgotten to tell me. I don't know why they hired someone else after I had accepted the job. I have been asking and have only gotten evasive answers. I fear it might have something to do with misinformation about my family that has been spread around in that local church, and has already affected the ministries of several members of my family. I'm sorry for the unhappy tone. I find it all very frustrating. BUT... God is GOOD. He never lets me down. I can always trust Him. He will work things out to His glory if I keep trusting and following Him. So I am praising Him for that. Missionlady Quote
