Guest truthseeker007 Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 I have nobody to share my knowledge with yet. This causes me to feel very lonely. I was wondering whom of you ve got friends or family to worship with, and what s that like? can you talk openly about faith without feeling strange? Quote
Administrators Gail Posted January 20, 2009 Administrators Posted January 20, 2009 TS, when you feel lonely please stop by here and say hi! Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
Members phkrause Posted January 20, 2009 Members Posted January 20, 2009 After my daughter was born, and she was old enough, we started having worship. Usually in the evenings. We didn't always go to church but we always loved worship, at least I did. Whenever we had friends or relatives that can over and or stayed for a while, we would ask if they wanted to join us for worship. When my daughter was old enough and moved out, the wife and I still had worship. When my wife started working 3-11 we didn't have worship everyday. Than my daughter moved back home. So than we started having worship everyday again. Of course the days that my wife worked than it was only me and my daughter, and if she had friends over we would include them. We have read the Bible through a few times. Each time we would read a different version. Tried reading the KJV but no really enjoyed it so we've read the Living Translation, the Clear Word, the New English Bible we had started the New Living Translation, when my daughter moved back home we started from the beginning again. Through the years we've added other books to our worship time. We have included at least 2 devotionals and last year we did 3. And sometimes we've added a small book, like the Shack, Life without Parole, and others. My daughter has enjoyed them. When my wife is working we don't do the devotional but just add something from one of many magazines from the R&H, PP or anything we bring to read. pk Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Guest truthseeker007 Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 dgrimm i am glad for you, you were raised in a protestant family. Although many protestant churches are fallen, i think most of the people in there, who are sincere worshippers, are just as much brothers as the people within our church. A church is just an institution for guiding a set of shared principles and beliefs. As long as the time has not arrived for men to have to chose between sabbath or sunday keeping, there is no need for you to be divided with your family in personal matters. PK i am glad for you that you are blessed with a family to do deep studies of God s word and you are able to worship God openly. I am not ashamed of God, i am actually proud of God, but somehow i do not wish to talk with strangers about God and the bible because i know the chances are 99 percent that those people think i am ludacris. I do have a past though in which i went to church regularly with my parents, i really liked that when i was young. We had services in the same church as the catholics, which by then i only knew to be 'strange' according to my mother. Anyway sometimes i feel like i wanna go back to the sda church, but when i get there i feel so unwelcome and terrible that that s sadly not an option anymore. Quote

Administrators Gail Posted January 21, 2009 Administrators Posted January 21, 2009 And feel free to join any of the study groups going on here :) Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
Guest truthseeker007 Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 You know, it might seem like i am a fine christian, but you have no idea how much satan has advanced my fallen nature. I have done so many wicked things that it feels like i am dead already or it s not even worth any more to try to survive physically and spiritually. The only reason i keep going is because i have got to tell others. I hate to draw attention to myself all the time, i think we should stop being egocentric. Well i don t know, it s all too complicated now, i just know the devil is playing games with me and i want to fight back, but i need your prayers so i can be forgiven, since i am not able to ask Jesus the right way for forgiveness. Furthermore i cannot go to church or be baptised since everybody seem to hate me there, i get such a strange feeling there. Sometimes i wanna cry, sometimes it feels like my head is being emptied. I cannot really explain it... Quote
Administrators Gail Posted January 21, 2009 Administrators Posted January 21, 2009 But you are welcome here. Please give yourself some time and patience in order to heal We are all still learning and coming to the Lord every day, and sometimes moment by moment! (((((( TS )))))) Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
Members phkrause Posted January 21, 2009 Members Posted January 21, 2009 Like I've said many times TS you are always in my prays. But TS each one of us can go to the Lord and ask forgiveness. And he will forgive, like he said to Peter 7 x 70. You do not need to fight the Devil that's God's job. Allow him to do the fighting. Read Ephesians 6:10-20. pk Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2
Woody Posted January 21, 2009 Posted January 21, 2009 Quote: John 6:37 " All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out." Jesus will love and accept you anytime just as you are. And if the church is not able to display His love and baptize you ... then just get anyone to baptize you. The Bible does not specify that anyone that is not able to baptize. In fact ... the Great Gospel Commission is for ALL Christians to go and Baptize. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
