Stan Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 Is there Biblical support for an omnipresence devil? Someone who can be every where all the time? Lineman Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 None that I know of. Omnipresent evil maybe, in that sin is everywhere in this world, but not elsewhere in the universe. The Devil has lots of help unfortunately, and evidently he is very organized. His rules are simple though; keep people from looking at Jesus no matter what it takes. Guest truthseeker007 Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 I think he governs his kingdom with legions of fallen angels. The spiritists on tv always know exactly what s going on in the life of every human being. I think they are spiritual beings, invisible, able to communicate telepathically and i think they are able to manouvre to some kind of other dimension to discuss how they can make my life as miserable as possible. You know, a little time ago i was blaming God and thought that the devil was not so bad. But now i ve heard of Morneau that the demons have celebrations when a lot of people die. It s sick and disgusting. I was wondering, Adolf must have been posessed by demons, at least he was affiliated with the thule society, which is influenced by Blavatzky if i am correct. Why did he had to murder so many people? the same goes for Stalin. Why are world leaders such cruel personalities? You know what i really miss about God?Adventure! In the old days God used to raise kingdoms and be with his people all the time. I wish God would work with his people more strongly. You know what i also think is important to know. Th ebible says that as we die the spirit returns to him that gave the spirit. Does that mean that if the wicked are destroyed, a part of their soul will be recycled? Quote
Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted January 26, 2009 Members Posted January 26, 2009 No Biblical support that I know of for an omnipresent devil. There is only ONE devil and he is not omnipresent. He has scores of demons (fallen angels) to do his evil work for him and with him. It does make one wonder, though, when it is really the Devil you are encountering and NOT one of his minions. Quote Pam Meddle Not In the Affairs of Dragons; for You Are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup. If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony. Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?
Moderators John317 Posted January 26, 2009 Moderators Posted January 26, 2009 Th ebible says that as we die the spirit returns to him that gave the spirit. Does that mean that if the wicked are destroyed, a part of their soul will be recycled? The soul and spirit are two different things. A living soul is the whole person. Our "spirit" is the breath of life which makes us alive. It's like the electric current in the light bulb. Our "spirit" is also the essence of who we are. You might say it is our character. But it doesn't have consciousness apart from the living soul. When Jesus died, He said, "Into your hands I commit my spirit." Jesus meant that He trusted his life in the Father's hands and that He trusted that God would accept His sacrifice and bring Him back to life. When the wicked are destroyed, they simply cease to be. The Bible says they will be as if they had not been. Quote John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. [17] For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.
Members phkrause Posted January 26, 2009 Members Posted January 26, 2009 Hey John you just made an interesting statement which I had forgotten about. "Into your hands I commit my spirit." Than you said "Jesus meant that He trusted his life in the Father's hands and that He trusted that God would accept His sacrifice and bring Him back to life." Than why did he tell mary not to touch him because he had to go to his father first to make sure that his sacrifice was acceptable? Just asking not saying that you are wrong, just curious! pk Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2
Moderators John317 Posted January 26, 2009 Moderators Posted January 26, 2009 Quote: Suddenly the gloom lifted from the cross, and in clear, trumpetlike tones, that seemed to resound throughout creation, Jesus cried, "It is finished." "Father, into Thy hands I commend My spirit." A light encircled the cross, and the face of the Saviour shone with a glory like the sun. He then bowed His head upon His breast, and died. Amid the awful darkness, apparently forsaken of God, Christ had drained the last dregs in the cup of human woe. In those dreadful hours He had relied upon the evidence of His Father's acceptance heretofore given Him. He was acquainted with the character of His Father; He understood His justice, His mercy, and His great love. By faith He rested in Him whom it had ever been His joy to obey. And as in submission He committed Himself to God, the sense of the loss of His Father's favor was withdrawn. By faith, Christ was victor.
