Moderators Kevin H Posted February 1, 2009 Moderators Posted February 1, 2009 Hope you paused on the above post, I decided to make it two sepperate posts to encouage a pause. Let's not forget that God says "I am the consuming fire" that one of the titles for angels (if I recall correctly the word "Cheribum") means "The burning ones" As you read the stories in the Old Testament about prophets encountering God's glory they best they could compare it to was like being burned alive but came to thrive on this glory. Isaiah 53:13 asks who can live in the eternal fire and the answer is the righteous. And Mrs. White says "The glory of him that is love will distroy the wicked" and contrasts it to us who find God's glory an ark and refuge. According to the Bible and Mrs. White, Heaven and Hell are not that much sepperate locations, but two different responces to being with Jesus in person. The horror of hell is not what you feel when touching a hot stove, but the horror of loosing the Desire of Ages. Since being in hell means to be in the visable, physical pressence of Jesus in all his beauty, we are all going there and some of us will find it to be heaven. For those of us who want to be with Jesus in person and see Jesus in all his beauty, we are looking forward to going to that expirence! Quote
